Our ultimate goal is to provide a safe environment for our TLL community to get back on the fields and play the game we love. The safety of all of us depends on the responsibility of each of us. Here are some reminders for our players and parents as we approach Opening Day for the 2020 Season.
BASIC PRINCIPLE
Act responsibly. Wear a mask. Maintain social distancing. Frequently wash your hands. Cover your mouth and nose. Cover coughs andsneezes. Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.
Reminders for Parents:
- Face masks must be worn by spectators upon arrive, departure from the park and when 6’ of distance cannot be maintained.
- Watch games/practices from beyond the outfield fence and adhere to the 6-foot social distancing guidelines.
- Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring that player’s equipment (e.g. bags, helmets, bats, gloves, etc.) is cleaned and disinfected before and after each game or practice.
- Players, coaches, and spectators should leave the field within a few minutes after the game. Individuals shall not congregate in common areas or parking lots following an event, practice, or game.
Reminders for players:
- Players are to be seated along the first or third base sides, in their own chairs, 6' apart from one another.
- Players are not to share equipment (e.g., batting helmets, bats, etc.) to the most extent possible.
- No Handshakes/Personal contact celebrations - Sportsmanship will continue in a touchless manner.
- Players are to bring their own personal drinks to all team activities. Drinks should be labeled with the person’s name.
- No Sunflower seeds, Gum or spitting.
